Step by Step Mazda CX5 Oil Change

To change the oil in a Mazda CX-5, you will need the following:

  1. A new oil filter and oil drain plug gasket
  2. The correct oil for your vehicle (consult your owner’s manual to determine the right type and viscosity)
  3. A jack and jack stands or a ramp to elevate the front of the vehicle
  4. An oil filter wrench
  5. A drain pan to collect the used oil
  6. A funnel
  7. A torque wrench

Here are the steps to change the oil in your Mazda CX-5:

  1. Start by warming up the engine for a few minutes to loosen the oil. This will make it easier to drain.
